I ran my Thor @ 18 Volts, without changing anything in the biasing trimpots.
As you might have already guessed it sounds clearer and more "headroomy".
I found the tone very interesting, and in some cases quite "dirty-Fendery"...
Why make a marshall-like pedal sound more to the fender side?...
Well, ...why not? :icon_mrgreen:

Clean_Thor18V_Thor9V.mp3 From clean to 18V and back to 9V. (Full gain)
Thor18V_reso_br.mp3 Pure 18V pushed by my resonance pedal.
Thor18_Lenny.mp3 Very clean but biting sound.
I've been meaning to run higher voltages into the FET circuits as well.
You should adjust the bias(s) and see what you get as well.
Clips sound good!

hey John, thanks!
The re-biasing would be very interesting indeed, but i liked the sound like that,
so i spent all my playing time without opening the box for a "deeper digging"... :icon_mrgreen:
I guess that's one of the future
projects.
Yeah, stay with what sounds good.
I tried 18v for the Dr boogie but I didn't get much difference there. A lot of gain there... it's not as noticeable.
The thor clips sound good at 18v so other than experimentation I'd stay where you are with the 9v bias as well!
