I have been thinking about making midi controller for cubase. Could this be used to make a midi controller http://www.velleman-kit.com/ot/en/product/view/?id=364426 or am'I totally wrong here. I'm a totally noob with this digital stuff, but I have made a few stompboxes.

Using the programmer board itself as a MIDI controller? I don't think so. You could use it to program a PIC to run on a separate board with the proper I/O hardware for MIDI.
