Title: R.G.: Low Fidelity/Telephone/Noise Pedal
Post by: chi_boy on February 14, 2008, 12:28:20 AM

Could anyone tell me if there is a vero layout or a PCB latout available for the Low Fidelity/Telephone/Noise Pedal posted at Geofex?

http://www.geofex.com/FX_images/lofi.gif (http://www.geofex.com/FX_images/lofi.gif)

I tried the LoFoMoFo, but it wasn't what I was looking for.  This looks better, but the layout is a little tricky for me.  I tried putting together a vero layout using DIY Layout Creator, but the thing is really ugly.   It doesn't look anywhere near as gracefull as I have seen from other people.

Also, can I post my vero layout if I give credit to the author, or is that frowned on?  I would really like to post it just to know if there is a better way to do anything and to help me learn.

Thanks,
George

Should be alright to post, properly credited and all that. Might be worth mentioning if it`s been verified (working) or not.

OK, I'll post what I have tonight.  I would have thought that someone with more talent than me would have done this already.

Anyone even heard the pedal?  I did read that the bass cut could be greater, but have heard no clips.

Cheers,
George

I made it.  Before boxing it I want to change the filters to get more bass cut AND treble cut, ie a narrower band.  Adjustable frequency would be aces.  Also I couldn't get the noise to work, for some reason, and didn't understand the principal enough to de-bug it.  I'm going to to try the deluxe shift register white noise generator at GEO I think rather than the noisy 2n2222.

For the noise part, are you aware of the bug?

I was planning to play with the bass and treble also, but I'm not possitive which caps to play with yet.  I'm planning to change based on this: http://www.muzique.com/schem/filter.htm (http://www.muzique.com/schem/filter.htm)

is this verified?

No, this one was never verified.  I gave up on the vero and made a board instead.  The board in the other post is verified, but needs a minor componant change to the noise section.

For the record, this is the other post:  http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=73881.msg599502#msg599502 (http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=73881.msg599502#msg599502)
