Title: X-Over Fuzz idea
Post by: Dragonfly on July 08, 2008, 01:25:37 PM
A simple fuzz idea that uses crossover distortion combined with transistor saturation in order to achieve what "should be" a unique fuzz sound. This is an untested idea, but the values should be close. If there is too much "splat", then you should be able to put a resistor (maybe 100k-220k-ish)after the 1N34a diodes to limit the second transistors over-saturation. Anyway, if you breadboard it, report back on your findings...

Look at the boss HM2 schematic

looks like boss is combining diodes to ground as well as diodes in the same type setup as above (as well as in the feedback loop of a op amp)

Any particular reason for the 10k's on either side ?

Anyone still has the schematic?
I've lost mine...
