Title: can someone invent this please...
Post by: swt on July 16, 2008, 01:05:33 PM
you know what would be great?. to have a pedal with usb that supports dxi and vst plugins so i can load my nomad factory phasers, etc, and turn it in whatever i want, just from computer plugins.
Why is it not on the market yet?. the vst plugins are way better than...say the digital pedals from boss like ph3 or digital delays. Even better than anything from line 6.
Is this possible?. Or the plugins are too ram consuming to be have in a small package? Dsp have many resources to do this...and sometimes the plugins are just some dll to begin with...

look at the specs, isn't exactly light

there are a bunch of threads on the subject in this section

your best bet is probably getting a nice laptop and audio interface and using that for effect processing, add a MIDI footpedal and then you're pretty versatile in the switching department too for performing live
