Title: Cleaning dust covered digital circuit board
Post by: salocin on November 02, 2008, 10:49:36 PM
Hi,

I have a digital Boss pedal sitting at home which has been upside down with the base plate off it for some time now, waiting for a simple repair. Unfortunately it has collected quite a bit of dust in that time.

What would be the best way to clean the dust off it without risking frying anything with static ? (assuming the dust hasn't done that for me already.

I haven't ever had much dust in a pedal, but when my computer has a bunch of dust, I usually clean it out with some canned air. There's no danger to the circuit (as long as you keep it upright so it doesn't freeze things), and it's also pretty fun. Just make sure to do it outside.
