Title: Colorsound wah & Volume pedal 2 in 1
Post by: AM on December 27, 2008, 01:00:34 PM
Hi everybody,
I have a wah enclosure and I'm thinking about building this:

Now, I would like to combine a wah & a volume pedal in the same enclosure. Is there a way to do it? I would like to have the volume pedal active at all times and just switch between volume and wah. When bypasing the wah I would like to switch back to volume control.
Thanks for all input in advance.

No one ?:icon_sad: I guess it's probably more difficult than I thought.

Might be easier than you think. On a wah with an inductor it`s just a matter of disconnecting one cap. Unfortunately the layout you`ve linked to is inductorless, so I can`t help.

So what's to stop you from wiring up a switch to select between the wah circuit and using the pot as a volume pedal?

You mean what is called "Cbp" cap at the technology of wah article here? Link:

The pot is supposed to be 100K. Isn't that a bit too small of a value? I would expect something around 500K. If the 100K value wouldn't cause any loading or other problems I can try to wire it through the wah circuit or as a standalone volume pot.
