Here is the schematic to a pedal I built that I so cleverly named the "OD 386" :icon_rolleyes:. It is based on the Smash Drive and Grace Overdrive. I can get a lot of great overdrive tones out of it, however it still has a problem with the foot switch popping. I am using a 3PDT foot switch with true bypass wiring along with an LED. The pops are much louder when engaging the pedal, with little to no pop when disengaging it.
Things I have tried so far:
- removing the LED from the circuit.
- adding a pulldown resistor after the output cap.
- checked for DC voltage outboard of the input and output caps with no voltage found.
Is there anything else I can try?

change the switch
seems to me that a pulldown resistor after the output cap would be useless as there's already a 100k volume pot trying it to ground, which is much less than 1m.
maybe put a 1k current limiter in between the first input cap and the fet, after the 5m? just as good practice.
pop on 'effect on' seems more common because of the amount of gain involved.
sometimes i jsut accept a little bit of pop as boutique and analog :icon_cool:
i can't see anything actually wrong with the circuit though... ):
