Title: NPN Boost Vero layout help
Post by: aftguitar94 on December 10, 2009, 05:22:55 PM
OK I'm soldering today and I've got a few questions.

1. Could someone tell me where exactly each wire gets soldered to?
2. And what do you solder each component to? Just the board? or what?

Sorry for the dumb questions

The board has tracks on it. You solder the component to the copper track.

Wait, are you asking about VERO or perfboard?

I think vero board. Is that what you send in the kit?

I send out perfboard unless someone asks for vero. So you have perfboard.

Oh OK, then it's perfboard. One thing I'm confused about is that my board is set up close together like the vero layout and I see most people's are really spread out, like the way yours is in the build pictorial. Is there a layout for the way yours is? Cause I have no idea how to make it like that and I'm not too good at reading schematics yet.

oh, one more question. If I'm using just the DC jack and not a battery snap, how should I wire that?

Just leave off the battery snap wires.

Ok, I think these are the last questions I've got .  How should I solder the resistor to the LED? and Should I just solder that resistor right to the switch? Or do I need wire?
