Sounds cool!  I've been working on a 16 bit one on and off for a while.

Is it a PWM output?

No i didnt use PWM out for this one. Just R2R ladder accross an 8 bit port. i figured it would be more fun that way for tweaking/experimenting.

dropping random pins on an R2R is so fun! the harshest insanity fuzz you'll ever need!

hey man :D

actually it is an encoder. i got them from ebay, its pretty swank because you can keep spinning it around continuously. a little less straightforward to interface but sort of fun. The rate knob is a pot though (less swank).
