Title: PT-80 .... it's smooooooooth
Post by: Ed G. on September 28, 2003, 08:36:03 PM
I finally debugged it. Should have taken more time putting it together, I had a resistor where a cap should have been. It was an experience in debugging and my chops are better for it, so it's all good.
Anywho, I fired it up, after getting it working, and played with it a while. It definitely doesn't have that 'hard' sound of the boss digital delays. Very atmospheric, I found myself playing the licks from that Chris Isaac song and also Robert Plant's "Big Log"
I'm sure there's a lot of other sounds, but I love that atmospheric 'lonesome' sound with a clean strat and a little warble from the whammy bar...
It's going right to the pedalboard!
P.S. for a power supply, check out the Danelectro 18V adapter used for the 'cool cat' chorus. I picked one up at the music store for 10 bucks.
P.P.S. I built it on a circuit board from JD Sleep (//www.generalguitargadgets.com)
