Title: Line out amplifier to XLR
Post by: served on January 08, 2011, 08:36:19 AM
Hi.

I have a little problem.

I need to amplify Line Out signal for XLR input.
It would be good to have a volume control. And it should run on phantompower.

Can you suggest any schematics or what should I start with. I made some tests with 2n3094  but was not satisfied.

I hope some one has and idea.

A.

if you search the web for a DI box, that could do the trick

the one I know, H&K red box classic, does what you need: it takes the line level output and turns it to balanced (XLR) out, it can work with phantom power too.... and it's made by just a couple of opamps.

the circuit has also a cab simulator, you can drop that part and just save the rest. volume control can be easily included at input, putting a pot in place of the fixed resitor to ground.

I think I will start with this one.

But is there a schematic for it?
