Title: Building DOD Box using this schematic ... GoodOrBad Idea ?
Post by: DavenPaget on May 02, 2011, 03:17:24 PM
(http://www.instructables.com/files/orig/F0V/3X4V/FINO74G5/F0V3X4VFINO74G5.jpg)
I will use 1 BAT85 , 1N60 for the diodes going to the resistors , and a BAT85 that is forward biased to ground .
I even have a switch to swap to 2 1N4148 and 1 1N4007 ...
Good or Bad idea ?
I'm not worried about blowing up LM386's , as i have never blown up an IC before and have tens of JRC386D's lying around . ( I believe that 220uf cap only needs to be 0.1uf .. right ? )
But the problem is , i have only been able to find ON/OFF footswitches :(
( Most parts that i used in my current OD project will be taken out , as it was chopping up signal instead of distorting , i hate it . )
Does anyone know where should i go to look for a metal box for pedals ( size about a distortion+ ) in singapore ? I hate it that there are NOBODY in singapore that does DIY pedals and amps as such , all the guitarists are hype-believing , not me though .
All the electronics engineers here are mostly (self-delusional superior) robotic engineers who know nothing better then talking to a robot .
Only a few are worthy audio engineers ... and i am going to be part of them although i am only 17 , and still have like 6 years of schooling thanks to the MAD SCHOOLING SYSTEM HERE .
