Title: valvecaster impedance questions

Hey guys,

I am pretty far in the dark when it comes to impedance.  I have a fellow who wants a valvecaster to plug his acoustic bass into.  He has a piezo pickup on it.  He's also running an eq pedal.  Ultimately, all that is fed to a standard bass amp.  I'm reading some things that piezo pickups for acoustic basses are ULTRA high impedance.  Not sure if the valvecaster will play nice with that or not.

My questions are:

Does the valvecaster work better with higher or lower impedance signals in and out?

His eq pedal's input impedance is 500k ohms, and output impedance is 510 ohms.  Would he be best going piezo-->eq-->valvy or piezo-->valvy-->eq?  He's plugging into the input of a bass amp after his pedals.

I'm not sure if just a stock valvecaster will work for him or if I need to build a buffer onto the input.

*edit* suck it and see i'd say. maybe he should hit a piezo buffer ^ before anything else.

That looks like a great idea!  I can build one right before the signal goes into the first gain stage.
