A comprehensive build document is now available regarding the XP-100 to XP-ALL conversion. It can be downloaded from here;

Govmnt_Lacky and I have spent many hours building, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting the conversion process. We believe this to be as complete as we can make it.
We also decided to start this thread for those who take up the challange, and have questions, or may need some help with the process. We've tried to make the guide as comprehensive as possible, but if anyone spots something we missed, or something that needs clarification, please pipe up and we'll rectify the situation promptly.
We did find a drawback to the conversion, namely the loss of the right (stereo) channel in XP-100 mode. This was merely a dry signal output, the XP-100 is programmed that way. The other modes are true stereo, and function as such. This is outlined in the document. We have however been exploring the possibility of a fairly simple solution to regain the dry signal in 100 mode, and tests are on going. Either way, we'll report our findings, and update the document as required.
Fantastic work, that is really impressive. I like the way you have stacked the Eeproms so that they can actually be removed for reprogramming. I'm at work at the moment so have just had time to have a quick scan through the document but will have a closer look later on. Thanks for the work on this.
Hopefully it becomes inspirational! :icon_mrgreen:
Thanks guys, that is a very wonderful document. I am forever in your debt.
I will definitely be back for trouble shooting :icon_rolleyes:
Thank you very much! :)
Just a heads up....
As stated in the document, this is only for conversions from an XP100 to and XP ALL.
Those of you who only want to convert to an XP300 -or-
Those of you who are converting from another type pedal in the series...
Some of the info in the document will not pertain to those. The mod can be done, it is just different. ;)

^ That's me - I'm interested in converting my XP-100 into an XP-300 with a simple little DTDP switch :icon_cool:

You're still going to need the 74HC574. If you look at the document, you'll see it in some pics.
Just bumping this because I don't see much use of the FOUNTAIN OF AWESOME INFO!!!
Has anyone done a conversion to an XP ALL?? :icon_eek:
I dunno. But, I have received all my parts for the 27C1001 conversion. I`ll be tackling that in two weeks, when the wifeypoo will be away in Mexico.
Cant find the f***** DRAM chips yet on Argentina!
Aside from not having the parts to do this mod, my only inhibition is my meager soldering skills... especially for that SMD. I have a bunch of old broken Nintendo DS motherboards I might practice on. As if it hadn't been said enough, thank you guys so much for putting this together. I hope to realize the full potential of my XP-100 in the near future!
Am I the only one who can't get to the build document?
I'm an idiot, I didn't see the new build doc.
