A while back I bought an Arduino Uno with the intent to learn to write simple code and just tinker. But like a lot of people it seems, I just kinda gave up :icon_redface:
I was half awake the other day and I thought that I could use an accelerometer to measure tilt and adjust a digipot accordingly. For expression pedals or wahs or something.
So my question is can anyone here write some code for me that does that?
This is DIY (Do It Yourself) not ODTCFMNIFM (Others Do The Code For My New Idea For Me)!
But I'm positive some kind soul will help out!
People on this site are just like that.
What a nice fella :icon_rolleyes:
Since you're a beginner, try googling things like "arduino accelerometer code" and "arduino digipot code" and find some example/reference code and then all you'll have to do is buy those chips, put it all together and change a couple variables to get them to work. You'll learn a bit as you go too.

Those two alone may suffice to give you all the puzzle pieces you need. Using a 3-axis you could actually have multiple digipots, one controlled by normal rocking of the treadle, another controlled by rocking side-to-side.
Ah thanks. It's just jibberish to me. I really gave it an honest try, but I'm pretty much useless with anything but fabrication and physical building of pedals... I wouldn't have a snowballs chance in hell to make a single line of code that works :icon_sad:
Just means you've got some more learning to do, is all. Change that attitude and you'll pick up enough to get this done in no time.

Start with the basics, take it slow, ask questions in the forum, you'll be a pro in no time.

You know I'm just kidding....... right?!
This is the perfect place to get help.
I'de be lost as an effect builder if it wasn't for the help of the great folks on this site.
