Hi  all

This is my first post, I'm new to building pedals, just thought I would add a pic or 2 of my first attempt

One is a delay build from a diy kit and the second is a tonemender that I built from scratch

Both work and sounds awesome, just wondered what you guys think of my enclosures and recommendations to improve it (pics are before final electronics fit)

Thanks

Martin

Fantastic first attempts, and welcome to the forum!

As for suggestions:

Smaller hole for that slide toggle.  That kind of switch should be mounted behind the panel with just the slide part exposed (and two screw holes to secure it).

That parrot graphic will be considerably obscured by the knobs, I'd think....

Have you considered printing on white waterslide decals? (Maybe you already are and I just saw it incorrectly)

Assuming the ship is intended as your branding logo, you may want to make it smaller to allow more room for other graphics.

Just my two cents.  Hope it helps, and keep up the good work.

Hi

Thanks for your advice, the hole for the switch it to mount it above, never thought about putting it through from inside, will defo do that next time

The first pic is printed on paper to check it works, final one has been printed on white water slide paper and will be lacquered over once dry

The design was made around the knobs I will be using so it wraps around them cleanly. The ship is a 'brand' thing, I say brand; it's more of an inside joke with my brother :).

I thought it looks a bit too much like a toy with the bright colours, maybe consider something a little classier for next ine

The ship logo strikes me as almost an art deco poster thing.  I actually like it, and I think it IS classy as it is (maybe with a different  font....)

(Not THIS font necessarily, but the image amused me and seemed appropriate)
