Can anyone recommend me a quick, simple and useful project which i can do tomorrow? I have to much in my "to-be-debuged" drawer, and need to rebuild my morale...  :D

the Red Llama, or Anderton's tube sound fuzz are both nice quick projects.  Well, assuming you have the 4049 chip anyway...

GREEN FUZ

I suppose the obvious thing would be the beginner`s project except I managed to screw it up.

Red Llama, sounds fun, though i've already built something similiar to the beginner project (it works too!  :D)

What about a booster maybe? I think i have most of the parts for most boosters available..

Real simple but cool build would be an RNG (random number generator).  It's a little noisy but has an almost sample and hold effect when strumming the 1st and 2nd string at the 12th fret at the same time.   I used a 100k trim so it would fit in an Altoids mint tin.

Yes it does sound like the samples.  It's a gatey weird sound with notes chiming in out of nowhere.  If you like strange and bizare effects give it a shot.  If you do a search there are mods for it floating around somewhere on here.  I think it might be a feedback pot of some sort.

How does the JFET boost compare to say a Stratoblaster?  About the same?  Is it a little better?  Just curious.

i like it a bit better....a bit fuller, and possibly a bit more boost...

set the bias as shown on the drawing....

its an easy build, and sounds VERY good.

Count the nodes, note anything around that node like polarity marking, measure every resistor just prior to installing, double check everything twice !!

Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Cool suggestions. Anyone had the chance to compare the AMZ booster and the Omega? Maybe the JFET booster above too, which sounds very easy.

I could also see the Fetzer Valve by the guys of runoffgroove:

I've just breadborded one using the resistor calculator at the bottom of the page and it sounds really, really cool, much more than I expected.
