Hi, I made this A/B Box design from TonePad:

Unfortunately there is a rather loud pop whenever I use the switch.  Is there any relatively simple way to fix this?? (Keep in mind I'm still a newbie)

Sins there is no component in the signal path that can be responsible for the pop it is probably one of you're other boxes/amps that has a potential drop when it is switched in/out. Test with different setups to troubleshot.

Unfortunately I'm pretty sure the problem is caused by the combo of my Line 6 delay and Kaoss pad, both of which I really want to continue using.  Is there any other way to fix this? Could the problem be because the Kaoss Pad is sending out headphone/Line level signal instead of instrument signal?

Since the effects your switching are buffered, the input caps are never disconnected and therefore, they do not need a pull down resistor, or some other path to ground to drain the input caps.  When you use a passive A/B switch, the signal gets cut off and the input of the effect is left 'floating' so to speak, and the input cap has no path to discharge through.  Then when you use the AB switch, *pop*- the cap discharges.  Try putting a 1m resistor across the lugs on the jacks in you A/B switch (from tip to sleeve).  This will give the input cap of the first effect after the switch a path to drain.
