I have a beautiful enclosure from pedal parts plus that I let get bumped around and now is full of surface scratches.  :icon_sad: My local hardware store only had rubbing compound which when used on the enclosure seems to only have made more scratches - too abrasive! Does anyone have any suggestions on products and methods for getting the enclosure shiny and scratch free again? Its all surface blems that are in the clear coat so I think it can be brought back to life!

Toothpaste is a good light buffing compound, if you don't mind a minty fresh pedal.

Auto supplier should have the fine stuff you need to buff out the scratches.

You may try a product called Novus 2 or Novus 3.  It is polishing compounds used for Pinball playfields.  Good quality product.  MC
I used to really be with it!  That is, until they changed what "it" is.  Now, I can't find it.  And, I'm scared!  --  Homer Simpson's dad

kitten "extra cut" auto polish (high carbunara) or whatever that wax is. it is slightly abrasive, and is used to remove that "dead" top-layer of paint on old cars. I've used it on a chitbox guitar, really surprised it's owner when I gave it back to him.
