Weird Mini-Booster problem

Hi Guys,

I want to tap into your brilliant collective minds with this problem.

I build amz booster off of general guitar gadgets ; here links to schem.

It been working fine up to the last couple times i've used it. When I plug in, the circuit won't turn on until I touch either the drain leg of Q2 or the leg  of C1 input cap going to Q2 with my finger, I've reheated all the related joins, why is my body capactancie (sp) the only thing that will turn this circuit on?

help me if you have any ideas before I scrap it and take the whole 45 minutes it takes to rebuild.
