I got my mouser order today...

I made some mistakes on my order.......  I ordered bezils and some LED's, and i must have keyed a digit wrong or something, because they are the wrong size.  I also could have sworn i ordered a bunch of 9v battery clips, but there was only one on the order.......

god damnit.

Well merry christmas everyone

It's really not that big of a deal... so im out like $4, and a shipping charge.  It's just i spent 2 hours putting the bill of material together, and finding vendors.  I thought i got it all right the first time.

i mangle my mouser orders alot too... and it is true, it's just easier for them to send you the correct parts and let you keep the others... plus it makes for a happy customer...

lately... i've been keeping all the mouser part #'s that i order frequently in a notepad/ so i just copy and paste them... i also snag the mouser part #'s from the fuzzcentral site... they are all good products!

Here's a useful tip:

Once you get the correct part, save that little printed sticker that comes on each part bag.  If you use parts bins, you can stick it to the outside of the bin, or the bottom.  When you run out, you have the Mouser stock number right there.  It saves looking up the part again, and running the risk of ordering the wrong thing, which I've done more than once.

Also try the BOM tool @ Mouser.  It'll save you a lot of time, especially if you order the same thing frequently.
