Anyone got a link to a picture of a glowing 12ax7 - I want one for some art for a stompbox.  Tried searching in google for an hour or so and couldn't find anything useful

Hey, I've been searching for about 40 minutes, and I can't find anything either.  I searched for 12ax7, 12au7, 12at7, all sorts of other combinations, and other things.  Nothing.

I remember browsing the Ampage Homebrew Amp pages a while ago and seeing a site where someone took neat pictures of glowing tubes in the dark, but I just looked through a ton of those pages, and I can't find it.  Sorry.   Does it *have* to be glowing?  :)

search for HiFi Amp Building reports or something like that...
I think there You will earlyer find some pictures.
Or take one for Yourself from Your Amp

a bit off topic...
when I got my marshall, it had 5881 valves- they looked EXACTLY like that photo above. After I had it converted to el34s, the valves just have an orangish glow. Why is that? Can I get the blue/red glows with el34s? I am embarrest to admit it, but I really miss seeing that :(

maybe someone from one of those 5E3 forums could take a picture.  That mission amps beginner project has a 12ax7.

Good pictures, try copying those into Paint and press CTRL+I to invert the colors.  Looks sweet.  Sorry, I don't have a way to post my own pic.

i went on google image search and searched for "dark tubes"
