Boss GE-7...op-amp replacements?

Anyone replace their opamp in the ge-7? supposedly, that is how some guys get theirs quieter.

Welcome tele_guitarist,

I don't have one myself, but you can quiet down almost any opamp circuit by using NE5532s. The current consumption will rise a little, but they're all-around better chips.

Also try TL072. Sockets are a worth-while addition if you're ever thinking of swapping chips.

Good choice for that ckt.

The gyrators are probably quieter with the TL072 than an NE5532.
