What are some substitutes for the 3080?  Also, would different ic's have an impact in a circuit like the dynacomp?

There really aren't any except for the NTE replacement which, for the price, would get you a bunch of 3080s.

There is a 3080A that has some tighter specs but no direct replacement other than the NTE.

It is worth noting that the LM3080 is a clone of the CA3080. And if there is an E at the end, that is cool too  :)
