I’ve just finished the Keeley mod on my old CE 2 and the mod works pretty well â€" nothing exceptional.
But â€" my pedal is no longer up to speed. I guess I need to change a cap value somewhere â€" but which cap?

Hal

considering speed is controlled by a pot, i would imagine you would need to change a resistor somewhere...or just change the pot all-together...

you can find the cap, though by leaving it open and on, and putting another cap in paralell with all the other ones until you sence a timing change...i would imagine slower...

george

changing C19 from 0.1 to 0.01 uF should do it

SM

YES!
Actually, I did play with that cap - but not enough it seems.
I found 0.047 to be the most useful range for my taste.

When looking at the picture of RK original mods (my mods are just a rough gestimate) it seems he changed exactly that cap and a small resistor at the side (R32 â€" 1M?)

Thanks!

I used to have  CE-2, it was my first effect pedal. I swapped it for a PH-2 though. :) It was a pretty good chorus!
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

Just some feedback. When parralelling this resistor with another 1M you get a very high speed.

The Zombie chorus has a very similar LFO section to the CE-2, but the max rate is much faster - that's where I got the idea for the .01 uF cap.  The equivalent to R32 in the Zombie circuit is 4.7M - it might be worth changing R32 to 4.7M ... ?
