Hi

I've been lurking for a while and figured I'd register when I had something to add.

Here's what I have to add. I just made an audio probe using a jack and a capacitor like the the others mentioned. Mine is different because I used the bannana jacks from an old meter so i can plug in the test leads. I can use those handy accessories like lead clips and such. It works great and I built it from what was laying around so... No extra cost.

I hope this helps someone.

Thanks for this great forum!

I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

I just added an insulating sleeve to the test probe so just the very tip of the test probe is sticking out.  It makes it easier to snake around on the breadboard without shorting everything out. I guess even electrical tape would do that job.
