ground question......

Hey i was just wondering when you are making a project which dosnt
require a battery and you have to ground it is it ok to solder the ground wire to the back of the pot?  :?

if im wrong is there any other ways to do this? :shock:

"black ice" distortion and its subsequent imitators do pretty much what you want.
search through the archives, there is a mass of posts on it.

This is done in many guitars. Its fine, as long as that goes on to connect to every other point that needs grounding...
