I made a CRAZY BMP a while ago(i'll post pics and clips soon). It was massivley distorted. Here were my mods:

Clipping: put 1N914 diode and 1N4148 diodes replacing the stock ones. Make them so that its asymetrical clipping (meaning where the diode pairs are, just put one of each type). I threw in some 1N34A's in the mix.

Q's: I put in some white face 3904's with gains around 200 first, but for extreme i found some unmarked transistors with gains around 1000. For good gain use 2N5088 or White face 3904's.

Caps: Change the caps. Switch all 1 uf's to .1uf's. Switch all .1ufs to 1 ufs.
Chage the one XX00pf cap(the one like 4700Pf or 2200 pf) chage around the value here for more or less bass.

OS: add some sustain!! I put in an orange squeezer for some good sustain. Sounds better to me than soul preacher.

MOLE: Add a bass booster to get more bass in the pedal. Try the mole/hog's foot from Fuzzcentral.

these were the ones i could remeber off the top of my head. Will post more if i find some.
