i thought it might be interesting its one of tim escobedo's circuit snippets

thanks

Can't see the pic. Which snippet you thinking of building?
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

Yep, I built a couple of those last year with my good pal jimmy(from this forum).

They tend to cut a massive amount of bass and leave the signal mangled when it comes out the other end, which is what it's intended to do.  :D

I don't know where mine is now. It was one of those circuits that gets all its parts stolen for other projects. Not because it was bad, just cause i'm lazy and start planning more ambitious projects before the one meant to be working on is finished.

A nice little circuit to fool around with. I recommend it.

I've built alot of this's and that's, which 'this' are you referring to?
Not a bad name for a circuit, 'this'.

It's Tim Escobedo's LofoMofo ;)

Marcos - Munky

I built two and I was playing with mine yesterday. The only problem with it is that the signal volume is lower than the clean volume. I don't know if this is only in mine. Check this soundclip: http://www.geocities.com/munkydiy/lofomofo.mp3

Hi.

The volume is way down in mine, too.  I found it a bit too extreme, and increased the input cap to about 2n2 (I think?) so that a little bit of bass would still get through.  I've been meaning to try my LoFoMoFo for vocal effects - could be cool.

How abou using some pre- or post- effect boosting? That should get the volume back up to speed :?

el duderino

you mean like another boost pedal before it? or something to enhance the volume internally?

boost after!

(i kinda hate those loose-link thingys  :P )

i built a circuit based on the lofo, came out quite well except it feedsback easily at high volumes.  Instead of the fixed frequency cut, i went a little further and used 5 different filters and a rotary switch.  I also added the boost after the filters to recover some of the signal.  Check it out:
