Aron has a very nice and bluesy clean boost on the Newbie page I built first, It's a very good booster and has a nice crunchy rhythm tone and cranked all the way out it does the blues thing very well. It's a keeper on my board.

Build wise, the Tweak-O would be good. Check out the build file below, everything is spelled out nicely. You can even get the entire kit for 35.95. One stop shopping, everything is included except the paint. Steve Daniels provides good support if you have problems.

Sound wise, I don't think it would be what you're looking for if you want a blues type overdrive.

Take a look at RunoffGroove's Tube Reamer, a simplified TS Tubescreamer overdrive. Fairly simple perf build. Brian and Gary also provide good support for their builds.

RunoffGroove's Peppermill may also be of interest:

ok what i really want is ia kit with everything in it. Because i had to goto rs llike 10 times b4 i got everything i needed. And they didnt have someof the stuff i needed any ways.and since there is a complete walkthrough i think that i will probably do that. btw i was at my LMS and i saw that they had an ibanez something. it was a distortion pedal but it was 20 dollars. would this be better? i dont know if it works or not. it was used. they had em bew for 100

Either way you can do one-stop shopping. You can either order the Tweak-O kit from Small Bear, or order everything for the Tube Reamer at Small Bear. Which ever one you want, or feel more confident building.

Depending on what model the Ibanez is, and it's condition, $20 is cheaper than building a pedal, and might be a good deal. On the other hand, not as much fun.
