im using this for my scrambler and was wondering if i need to put it in the sockets any differently cause i read that Smallbear  has ones that is ECB not ebc like the layouts show. But this manuf. pdf doesnt show a pic. Is this one of those i have to bend the leads around? If so, wheres the E?Is it the furthest left with the flat side facing up?

thanks,

jim

Check out the Skrambler page at my site...there's a pinout diagram of the 2N5306 near the bottom that shows the pinout of the BCE device:

Well the pinout for the one on my site came from the Fairchild data sheet, but I also know that the ones that Steve Daneils sells also have that same pinout, so I'm also willing to bet that the ones from Central also have the BCE pinout.

If you use the layout from Tonepad, the transistor pads will accomodate the BCE and CBE pinouts.
