hi everyone,

erm, what exactly is a besbeco sweeper? i found it on hemmos site, and was wondering as it looks pretty easy, is it worth a go. and also, that envelope mod on the uglyface, could i apply that to any pedal?

The besbeco sweeper is a twin T filter.... basically a wah- wah.

The envelope mod on the uglyface can be implemented on lots of other effects, but it takes some imagination and most lokely lots of hacking.

I built the Sweeper and wasn't impressed. I'll put virtually anything I build into an enclosure but this one sits as a pile of wire and perfboard. I may eventually use it as a tack-on tone control for some fuzz box if there is room in its enclosure.

It does work, the tone does sweep, but there's not much quack. IIRC there's a small volume drop as well. I've fiddled with the resistors and caps without enough success to continue on. If anyone else has had a better experience I'd love to hear it. It would mean I made a mistake on mine, a non unusual occurance.
