I just saw in the 2004 Antique Electronics catalog that they are selling "Life Pots"... for $15.95.  Here's what they say:

"Life Pot 100k Wah pot.  High grade replacement and upgrade wah pedal pot supplied with all necessary hardware and gear for immediate installation."

I've never heard of them, but a web search i just did shows North Star Audio (Roger Mayer) also selling them (at a substantially-higher price).

So has anyone used/heard anything about Life Pots?  Quality?  Country of origin?

Thanks....

It is a bourns 91A1A828B20 with a gear glued on.
It is an ok replacement but I would spend more than $12 and only if in a pinch.
I use the pro pot which looks an awful lot like the teese but isn't.
Can't comment on the taper but that one is a 200K....
They are cheap for me local cause I am buddy buddy with some stores..

It's a 200k pot 'till you put a 200k resistor across the outside lugs, then it's 100k.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Thanks for the info!  I did a web search on that Bourns part number... didn't find anything.  Is there anything special about the pot?  Material?  I'm assuming that it's got a long rotational life....

*Glued*???!!!  Yuk!  How reliable is that likely to be?  (Easier though than drilling the shaft, eh?)

The only special that these pots may have is to be without openings so that the taper never gets any dirt into it. 8)
Petemoore do you know how to make a 100k reverse log, too?
I've read an article at geofex.com but I can't understand it quite well
:(

By the way my favorite wah pot is a simple 100k-150k log pot.
