Colorsound Jumbo Supa Fuzz?

Good afternoon gents,

This weekend I will be tracing my Colorsound Third Run Fuzz (often referred to as the Supa Jumbo) and I have a few questions if anyone knows about what makes it special. It's a Jumbo Tonebender that was made on a particularly lazy Friday and they accidentally populated the makeup gain stage, which is usually omitted on a Jumbo. It's also in a Supa style case. So it seems to me it would just be a normal Supa Fuzz. Perhaps the Jumbos components are tuned differently? There's also rumors of two swapped resistors on the second gain stage.

This link has a good picture of the circuit board if anyone sees anything. The extra transistor was allegedly installed backwards, but it doesn't look that way to me.

I just grabbed the closest schematic and marked it up.  Unfortunately the transistors Q1 ... Q4 go from right to left on the schematic.

Main points:
- cap values
- transistors: you need the gain suffix (A, B, C).  All transistors might not be the same type.

FWIW,  the 430 ohm emitter resistors make me think I've trace this one already.

EDIT:  V1.2  fixed.  left off a 430R resistor.

the BC169B/C is interesting. the cdil datasheet I looked at shows that family group as being in the end-base case variant, which is usually denoted with an L suffix and no gain bucket letter.

The old units had BC169's but you see a lot of BC549C's in these later re-issues.

Interesting, so it really is just a well tuned BMP circuit

Yes, quite a few of those Colorsound pedals follow that format.  The different models have different part values here and there.  A few have the last stage removed.
