Could anyone put a song or two from the band I am in on their site for temporary.   I don't have a site and have no way for anyone to hear.
Thanks!

mail them to me one by one. I can stick em on my server as long as your certain there's no cpoyright issues ;)
How long do you need?

Arn C.

hey mike!
This is where the problem lies.   The files are : 4.46mb, 6.43mb, 6.76mb and 7.71mb.   All too large for me to email from my computer here at work and I don't have a computer at home.
There are no copyright issues.   These are just a couple of my favorites from our cd,  that I thought that I could share with everyone.
I do almost all of the guitar work in these songs.
I almost need to upload them or something?  Not sure what to do?
Thanks!

try compressing them with winace, rar etc .....
then use a 'briefcase' at yahoo, i think you can send files up to 5 meg i think (hence the 'zipping of the files)

MP3s don't compress well. ;)
If you have a good FTP client (WSFTP) I'll get you an FTP adress.

Hey Arn, the four songs is the same that I have? If yes, I can create two domains on Geocities and upload them. Just tell me and I do this.

Have you thought about mp3.com? They used to let artists upload songs/bios etc. Don't know if they still do.

MP3 was bought out by some large media corporation, and all the content was going to be deleted; if I remember right the authors weren't able to get the files between the time the downloads were shut off and when the files were destroyed, resulting in possibly a large amount of independent music going into the void if no backup copies were made and no one downloaded it.

music.download.com is supposed to soon have similar services though, but you could also try iuma.com; as I recall they have some free space for music.

Hey Arn, if you(or anyone) want to mail big files, you can just get a free mail account at //www.argentina.com, they give 20 mb mailboxes, and you can send large attachments (i tried with 5 megs mp3 and worked ok).

Good luck, and let me know if i can help you!
Cut it large, and smash it into place with a hammer.
