Double D tone stack?

I'm soldering up my very own Double D using the most excellent layout at Runoff Groove. My question is, "Does it need a tonestack?" If so, which one? I was wondering about the AMZ Presence control.

Since I'm still green, could someone tell me exactly where I might put it in the circuit if I were to add it? I think for simplicity's sake I'd put only one on the pedal and not on each channel. Otherwise it might look like a NoiseSwash with all the knobs! :wink:  Any help in general would be most appreciated.

Use a Marshall style tonestack.

personally i wouldnt' bother with a tone stack on the double d it sounds killer where its at.

Ansil is right, sounds killer as it is. I did add a switch to increase the output cap (a .22 in parallel for .22(stock)-.44(mod) ) for more bass when using single coils. I think i'll also add a small cap (~.001) to ground with a pot to take away some harshness (for the same reason).

That CMOS is too funny how it 'breaks' like a tube amp...
 I like just well tuned ckts but starting to be really likin tone controls...they add another complexity...but also versatility...and Will alter the sound of a bare ckt...opinion are as varied as the wiring possibilities ...
 I use a Minibooster or some form of booster [gonna take some boost to power it] before a tone section [well it's the AMZ Tone control, the mid scooper model] in a box...
 Put a 1k between drain of bottom Q and source of top Q in the minibooster section if you like to get much past unity with the tone control...Thank RG Keen and design your own MU Amp article at GEO.
