Both builds went pretty smoothly, although to be honest, I can't be 100% sure that the Noise Swash is correct, 'cause it's, uh, kinda crazy. My only concern is that the LFO doesn't seem to affect a whole lot. When a pedal sounds this nasty who needs paint and proper labeling?

I put the RAT into (appropriately) the enclosure ProCo uses for their direct boxes and whatnot. It is an unbreakable steel brick, and the Rat sounds pretty great.

If those ProCo enclosures weren't so expensive ($20 at YDI Electronics in Boston - eeek!) I'd use them all the time. Very convenient because the whole comes apart, so you're drilling into a flat sheet of metal every time.

what is the enclosure you used for the Rat from?  It looks like a stereo amp or somethin'.  It looks cool!

Samuel

I actually said right above the first RAT picture, but it's super easy to miss cause of the big images....sorry!

I put the RAT into (appropriately) the enclosure ProCo uses for their direct boxes and whatnot. Super cool case, but wiiiiiicked expensive. Found them at Do It Yourself Electronics in Boston, but they only had a couple and I can't find the enclosure listed on ProCo's site...

I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

They both look great!

I've always liked the bare aluminum look... and the Rat is a good example to me of the look of a pedal reflecting its character.

Samuel

Yeah I was debating what to put in that enclosure...But a RAT should really look like it could sprout arms and beat the crap out of you.
