Favorite/Best transistor for standard wahs?

Just curious if there is a common fav for transistors in wahs.  Post your picks!

BC109C...gains from 300-350...highest gain in Q1.

2N2222  "better"
BC109    "best"
Those are my favorites.I prefer BC109 the best but there are some 2N2222 that sounds fantastic,too.
I think that lower gain transistors sounds best.

Isn't that what a wah does?  

Less midrange hump sounds like maybe switching the 1K5 to a 1K resistor.

So what's the hype about a 5117? Are these magical trannies for wahs? R.G. says if you only can find one of these, stick it in Q1. What gives??
