Finally got my NJM order, and got 20 13600D's, 10 4558D's, 10 4559D's and 10 4560D's. now, what can I put these in? heehee

I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

already built one and replaced the TL072 withfirst the 4558, then the 4559 and finally the 4560... the 4560 to my ears is thicker than the 4558 with the 4559 a hair bit thicker than the 4558... Remember pin 1 orientation everyone! i was so excited, I put a 4559 in backwards and smoked it =P

I also changed out the 13600D's in my ross phaser and Mark Hammer, you were right, the ones that were in it were cooked. I'm a happy camper now that it works!

Dig up the 'free samples' thread and you'll find loadsa places where you can get free ICs for sampling. Note that some of us find it immoral and unethical but some don't so some of us do order samples. Like me  I liked //www.maxim-ic.com and //www.ti.com, they both had excellent service.

Ok TS derivitave.
I did a Super Overdrive the other day.
These OA builds are doing much better since I started ... well I'm really liking the 4558's for OD types.
 Tube Reamers another one.
I like doing a simple one like Stupid Box or the Mockman, that way I don't have the 'extras' [buffer, tone etc] hardwired in, and can try say a Mosfet front end or a Jfet on the output in some type of Booster or Buffer arrangement.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Which site are we talking here? www.njr.co.jp?

If so, where do I find the samples?

Lurco

is there a place to get some delay IC`s like MN30005 and the like?

spongebob

Along those lines, NJR/JRC has a nice small digital delay IC listed on their New Products page:

NJU26901 Digital Audio Delay
http://www.njr.co.jp/pdf/de/de07009.pdf

So, how exactly do you request samples on the NJR website?
The website is a little bit hard to navigate...

toneman

hey guys,

this is a *digital* delay.
not an analog  BucketBrigade/delay.
U need a 24bit serial input & output.
Looks like it's 4 mainly CD applications.
might B used for a buffer in a CD transfer-type-thingie.
with only 85ms of delay(44khz) could only be a reverb.
why get samples of thing u will never use?
SmallBear has SAD1024s!!
the *real* McCoy!! bucketbrigade.
isn't it an unwritten law????
all DIY stompboxes *must* B analog???
LOL!!
