I`m afraid the "Tube-Meister" will never go into production by E-H
for too many "controls", which makes it too labour-intensive.

One day, I`ll handmake a couple, but what I learned from you: they`ll be shipped with the tubes not inserted, but in extra-box...

sorry - of course it should read: lower right corner...

Hey Puretube, where are your getting your cases ? Are youmaking them yourself or getting them made for you ? How are you doing your labeling ?

Andrew

I got a "Abkantbank" and a "Schlagschere", a drillstand, and a set of screw-punch-bits (not sure of all these names in english & too lazy to look`em up...). In short: handmade by myself.
Fine-sanded alum., put in NaOH @ 50deg for 10min. in well-ventilated area...
Layouted on Atari, inkjet-printed on paper; copied on selfsticking transparent foil (local copy shop); applied wet onto the box, cut out holes, 2x polyurethane spray...

Great Stuff!!! Thanks for sharing that. :) I have a appreciation for metal work. There is one things my dirty work shop needs, a sheet metal bender. I've been looking at geting one for making chassis. Well that and a CNC machine but I'll wait alittle while before I get that. :) Maybe a high speed metal lathe too.

Andrew

puretube

thank you T.G. for giving me the word;
the "Abkantbank" I mentioned earlier (I somehow thought you might understand german...), is the blue "sheetmetalbender" you see on the left side, with the red handles...

actually, one of the reasons for trying to get into the professional biz, was the hope for 1 day being able to afford a CNC milling machine - but now it shows, it`ll take a very very long time to get to know the software for the drawing of the stuff I wanna do with it....

Hey Andrew:
what`s the proper name for the tool on the right, to cut the sheetmetal with:
is it "shear" or s.th. similar?

thanx, puretube.

mikeb

Puretube, sorry for asking but - you've done designs / redesigns for EH, correct? (the tube zipper etc)?  Just curious.

Your setup and pedals are mouthwatering.  8)

I'm sorry I missed your replies in the mess of messages.

It is a handy tool. I'm looking at getting a bigger one for one of my workshops that I could do an amp chassis in a few minutes not including the welding.

CAD software has always been tricky and not user friendly. It one of the reasons DIYers like the simple software programs that manufactures give away. Boy it would great to have a CNC. I better stop before I start drooling. ;)

Yes I would call that a metal "sheer". :)

As always I appreciate the time and your work.

MikeB: yes, some newer E-H pedals are (based on) my designs
(in fact concerning the so-called "re-issues": only the names
are adopted, coz the type of effects resemble their vintage
"role-models"), and are being issued by E-H in licence:

The "HOT TUBES" used to be this one:

The "TUBE ZIPPER" was this:

The "WIGGLER" looked like this:

The "WORM" is a reduced-number-of-knobs version of this:

and the new "PULSAR" had a prototype-design like this:

jimbob

the wiggler has to be my favorite so far!!  but i love all my tube effects for diff reasons!
