I bought this from steve at small bear but  need a few answers. . First, i assume i place it in a ink jet  printer after  making all the different tittles , names, ect..on the computer, then I print, but what after that? I read somewhere  about Krylon? whats that about? WHat kind of krylon? I think i remember it saying spray Kylon than slide decal off? Clear Krylon?

Any help? Ideas?

after you print the decal you should put it into warm water until the film starts to separate from the paper. at this point you take it and put it on the surface you want to decorate and slide off the paper leaving only the film on the surface. you might also want to eliminate all the possible air bubbles that could have formed... there's a particular tool to do this, but i guess you can perform it with a piece of plastic that doesn't scratch the paint....
all of this works if you fix the print on the decal first, cause if you don't it will come away when you put it in the water... you can use krylon or maybe there are other kinds of spray that work too.

First print from your computer.  I would put what you want printed in the center of the page.  My printer had trouble with the thickness of the sheet, and it shifted the page going trough the feeder, screwing up the top of the sheet.  After printing, my printer wouldn't print correctly until I ran a self cleaning utility, so you might want to use a crappy printer if you have one.  After you have the printout, just spray in with clear Krylon.  You can get Krylon at Walmart, or at hardware stores etc.  The Krylon protects the ink jet print from running.  Then just cut out your decals and soak them off in water.  They are pretty delicate so you have to be carefull.  I used tweezers.  I would cut the decals so that they have round edges.  This will make them less obvious on your box.  I used them on a box that I sanded to give the brushed look.  The edges of the decals can be clearly seen so I don't think I'll use this method again.  Maybe it would be more convincing on a painted box, don't know.

Thats exactly what i needed! Thanks all. I thought the edges might show as well so im putting them on a painted box. I just have to decide what color will most likely hide the edges of the decal.

again,

thanks!
