Yay!  Today I received my diploma (IN front of a few thousand people no less), and I must say, HELL YES.  I am no longer bound to the California School System!

HOWEVER, I will be continuing my education.  I'm taking a few years at a Community college to get credits to transfer to a Uni, and I need to carry a certain number of credits to mooch off insurance.  MY required classes only add to about half; any suggestions for fun classes, maybe DIY related somehow?

Semi-related note, its "College of Sequoias" of Visalia, CA. ]

Wish me luck!

Love ya, maaaaan...

Look for Shop courses, like wood working, electronics, and metal working.

Congratulations. And good luck.

Congratulations - now go back to school and stay there AS LONG AS YOU CAN !!! Just some advice from a (semi) old guy.   :D

And some classes to take? Sir Modulus had some good ones - metal working is a load of fun and very usefull just about anywhere - learn to weld and you can almost always pick up a job. Wood working skills will also save you a pile of money later in life - like when your wife wants to "re-model" the house. It might not seem like much now but it will pay off later.

Jeff -

The best to you.  And make sure you enhance your basic life skills - math, reading, wood working, etc.  You are already a DIY and your a long way ahead of most "KIDS" your age.

Best of luck

Good Luck Jeff !!!
I remember my graduation day like it was yesterday,  it was 29 years ago!  Yes, good advice written above: stay in school and learn!!!
My kids did and they drive better cars than I do

Peace!

Congratulations! 8) 8) 8)

I totally echo the metal and woodworking suggestions, but if you ever want to run your own business then something in that area could be a giant help too. I sure wish I had some basic business classes.

Take care,

once you get to the university, see if you can get credit as independent studdy from building effects!  I saw the University of Virginia (?i think?)  offered a course called "electronics for musical instruments," a 300 level physics class, where students build effects.   See if you can get it in your school :-D

Hal

I found the web page - it was at University of Illinois...

looks like fun :-D

Thanks, guys!  I was considering taking another metal class; it's been a few years since ninth grade!  Heh, maybe if the pictures are developed soon, I can show what my diploma and my ugly mug look like.

Yea...
