dynacomp/ross questions

HI!!. I have a ross clone, but it seems to loose a lot of bass. It's as in geofex schems. 0.01 input cap. The strange is i have a locovoz pedal, form japan, from the 80s, that seems to be a dyna clone, that has a 22n input cap and also bigger caps in other psrts of the circuit.
So the question is, how can i change the response to a more natural one. Or...how to make a good compressor like this one, in order that has the minimum change to the original guitar tone??. Thanks a lot!
