Anybody know any info on the blue DOD 201 phaser?

Hi guys, I've got a chance to pick up a new DOD 201 phaser dirt cheap, the blue model (I assume these are a reissue of an older model), and need a little advice. I know that it's essentially a Phase 45 and about the univibe mods, etc., but my question is (and I know this is a loaded question)- it a pretty decent-sounding unit? I'm wondering if it might distort less than my old Phase 90 (even with the feedback resistor removed my Phase 90 likes to break up somewhat). What little I was able to check out the 201 in the store, it seemed to have a slight drop in volume when engaged, and unfortunately won't have the opportunity to play the two side by side or at stage volume to really compare them. Seems like I read somewhere that someone stated that his 201 was cleaner-sounding unit than his Phase 90.

Anybody had any experience or advice regarding the blue DOD 201's? Thanks, Russ

I have both a *vintage* grey 201, and the reissue blue one. I have had no problems with break up with either. I did the *vibe* mod to the reissue as a switchable option, but almost never use the stock position. Also did the blinking LED and *higher-max-speed* mod. I have only used a vintage script  logo Phase 90, and that was lost many years ago, so I can't compare break-up wise.
