What a difference a resistor makes! Kama Sutra build....

About a month ago I finally completed a Kama Sutra 69 pedal only to get a sputtering nasty sound no matter what I did. If I turned the guitar volume to anything other than wide open, I'd get no sound. I checked the voltages going to the transistors, & it was always way low, like 1.8v or something like that. Thinking I had some bad transistors, I put it aside, & would wait until Small Bear was back from vacation to order some.

I took it out again this weekend, looking for the obvious, & compared the schematic to the parts layout. That's when I spotted it. The schematic had a 220 ohm resistor shown, but the parts layout said 220k. Like a dufus, I had looked at the parts layout while building the thing, never realizing it should have been 220 ohms. I changed the resistor, & wow, it works! All of the controls really give a lot of tonal possibilities. Impressive.

The KS 69 sounds really cool.Where can I get a copy of the shchem and layout?

Thanks!

This was originally from Mike Burgundy's site, but I see that the links no longer work.

It's basically this one, substituting the 4.7M resistors with 1M resistors, as found on the GGG site. Also, the last cap before the output volume is .01, not 0.1.

This isn't the layout I used, but I don't see why it shouldn't work.

Thanks Steve- I was looking for Kama Sutra on GGG- my bad!
I built a simple fuzz from GGG a couple of weeks ago and I really like it much more than I thought I would... so Im looking to take one to the next level with some contouring abilities.
