Solid ink printing for decals... (Xerox Phaser)

I was reading a lot of the discussions about applying clearcoat to stickers printed by inkjets and had a question. 

Has anyone tried using decals/stickers printed on a Xerox Phaser or other solid ink printers?  Basicly the ink looks like crayons and is melted and applied.  So it's completely out for pcbs, but seems like it would be fab for decoration/not susceptable to being dissolved by clearcoat.  I have one at my job and I think I'll try it out soon and report back.
