Hi All,
I did a quick sound sample of a pulsar i recently built from tonepad for a friend and thought there might be people here that might want to hear it.

In the sound clip, i'm explaining whats going on, some what, but its a bit quiet, you may need to turn up your volumn to hear my voice in the background.  My set up is an Ibanez PF400 --> pulsar --> Fender Twin Reverb 68' (reverb is turned on as you can hear).

As far as the circuit goes, its a bit of a mixed bag.  I like the effect and its simple to build.  You can get some really spacey sounds out of it.  It does strong, and subtle.  I haven't built the tremulus lune, and if i could have gotten my hands on the opto-coupler, i probably would have built that instead, as it seems to get alot more praise then the Pulsar.

The main problem with the pulsar, is the heartbeat ticking problem everyone seems to get.  You dont hear much in the sound clip, because i've got a booster infront of the pulsar and the amp down low, which i've found is the best way to minimise the ticking noise.  Its a shame about the heartbeat, as I do like it, but cant really do any serious recording with it because of this problem. :-(

Anyway, hope you like the clip!

Very nice clip! I couldn't hear your voice at all, but it was quite self explanatory. After hearing your clip I'd like to build one of these myself.
Maybe someone knows where to find a schematic for the newer stereo version ?

Thanks Krinor,

Sorry about the low level on my voice.  You really have to crank it up to hear it.  But yeah, as you said its pretty self-explanatory.

Also forget to mention, its interesting view the track in a wave editor.  You can quite planly see how adjusting each knob effects the sound.  Interval lenght, and depth etc.
