I've been putting together an EA Tremolo on perf board.  I've added a Millenium 2 bypass circuit.  The effect works as desired, but I've found that the output volume of the effect is a lot quieter than the input signal.  Please advise me if I should spend more time trying to locate a mistake in my workmanship, or if this is exactly how the effect is supposed to work.

Thanks!

I'd go through the debugging protocol (there's a sticky thread in the main forum).  My EA get way above unity gain.

Yea I had to put a timmer to turn down the volume. There's a hole next to the stompy and the trimmer is hot glued to the roof of the box.
