Hi John,

No secrets, there's a build thread at Madbean's where i try to shed some light on the process. More or less it's about the removal of paint to give it a distressed look.

Edit; In regards to the Rangemaster, what kind of amp are running into, tube,  solid state?

Hi Dave,

Thx. I will check out that madbean thread.

My amp is a '76 Fender Princeton (non-reverb).  I know---a very clean amp  compared to what (I've read) a treble boost is supposed to do---push a dark British amp into more trebly territory.  Or maybe more accurately, push an already overdriven amp in more tonal bliss...

I sort of liked it closer to the .0056 side of the blend knob (other side is .1)--it did give a little sparkle to the clean sound.  I don't know...I spent over a month tweaking the axis face and then a few days playing with this.. I may have given up too early...

And funny thing--I was just playing the axis face. I love it...but now I'm thinking it could be tamed down a tad more.  I prob need to build one with the suggested 2N2369 and a BD139...and use the recommended .033 instead of a .01 in parallel with the 1.2K to +.

Oh boy...I've got pedal fever....or maybe an easy face...hmmmmm
